MISSOURI CRAFT BEER HILL CLIMB

On the last day of February, a group of our brewery members spent the day at the Missouri State Capitol to advocate for craft beer. We met with Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe along with several Representatives and Senators in the districts where our members are operating their businesses.
Brewery members shared information about the positive economic impact of Missouri craft beer as well as some concerns with equitable access to market.
We also discussed House Bill 680 which modifies provisions relating to home brewers, allowing them to host their club meetings at a licensed microbrewery without the brewery potentially facing a fine from Alcohol and Tobacco Control.
Thank you to the breweries that participated: Bur Oak Brewing Company (Columbia), Griesedieck Brothers (St. Louis), Kansas City Bier Company (Kansas City), Logboat Brewing Company (Columbia) and Turkey Creek Brewery (Hollister).
We had many good conversations and made some meaningful connections with our lawmakers. It's just too bad we couldn't bring samples to share!
