JULY IS SHOW-ME CRAFT BEER MONTH

The Missouri Craft Brewers Guild (MCBG) is celebrating independence the entire month of July - the Missouri independent craft brewer, that is. The Guild has declared the month of July as Show-Me Craft Beer Month. Throughout the month of July, the Guild will showcase member breweries and highlight the collective efforts of craft brewing across the state of Missouri. The coronavirus pandemic has had a profound affect on the brewing industry and as our state begins to open back up again, we are committed to raising awareness of these small businesses and their impact on our communities. The Show-Me Craft Beer Month kicks off with the National Independent Beer Run Day on July 3 and includes various events and activities throughout the month.
The Show-Me State has 140 craft breweries in operation. These breweries and brewpubs are small businesses that have a big impact on the state. According to the Brewers Association, a national non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and protecting American craft brewers, the craft brewing industry in Missouri employs more than 9,800 people and has a $1.2 billion economic impact.
Missouri craft beer production in 2019 topped out at 363,383 barrels which equates to roughly 11.3 million gallons – enough for every adult in Missouri over 21 years to enjoy 2.5 gallons of beer each. Members of the MCBG include breweries with small 5-barrel operations up to large, regional craft breweries producing more than 200,000 barrels - and everything in between.
Follow the MCBG on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to learn more about craft beer in Missouri and to see all the fun events and activities planned across the state celebrating independent Missouri craft beer. You can also sign up to receive emails from the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild.
Cheers to Show-Me craft beers!
