MISSOURI CRAFT BEER DAY AT THE CAPITOL

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, a group of our brewery members spent the day at the Missouri State Capitol to advocate for craft beer. We attended meetings with several Representatives and Senators in the districts where our members are operating their businesses.
Brewery members shared information about the positive economic impact of Missouri craft beer as well as concerns with equitable access to market. We asked for support of HB 1041 / SB 584 which seeks to lower state excise taxes by 30%.
We know it’s not easy to step away from the brewery for a day, and we truly appreciate everyone who joined us to share their stories and make their voices heard. If you couldn’t attend this year, there are still ways to get involved! Reach out to your lawmakers and invite them to tour your brewery—we can help coordinate the visit and provide talking points to guide the discussion.
Thank you to the following breweries for participating: Vine Street Brewing Company (Kansas City), East Forty Brewing Company (Blue Springs), Turkey Creek Brewery (Hollister), Mother's Brewing Company (Springfield), Demolition Brewing Company (Laurie), Bee's Knees Brewing Company (Versailles) with special guests Sam DeWitt from the Brewers Association and Fran Caradonna from Caradonna Collab.
Your voice matters, and together, we can help shape the future of Missouri craft beer. Let’s keep the momentum going!
