JUNE IS SHOW-ME CRAFT BEER MONTH
Governor Parson has one again proclaimed the month of June as Show-Me Craft Beer Month! Throughout the month of June, we will showcase member breweries and highlight the collective efforts of craft brewing across the state of Missouri. As the MCBG, we are committed to raising awareness of these small businesses and their impact on our communities.
The Show-Me Craft Beer Month includes various events and activities throughout the month such as:
The Show-Me State has more than 160 craft breweries in operation. These breweries and brewpubs are small businesses that have a big impact on the state. According to the Brewers Association, a national non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and protecting American craft brewers, the craft brewing industry in Missouri employs nearly 8,000 people and has a $1.2 billion economic impact.
Missouri craft beer production in 2023 topped out at 306,723 barrels which equates to roughly 9.7 million gallons – enough for every adult in Missouri over 21 years to enjoy 2.1 gallons of beer each! Members of the MCBG include breweries with small 1-barrel operations up to large, regional craft breweries producing more than 200,000 barrels - and everything in between.
Follow the MCBG on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about craft beer in Missouri and to see all the fun events and activities planned across the state celebrating independent Missouri craft beer. You can also join the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild as an Enthusiast member, Brewery Member, Retail Member, Allied Trade Member, or Wholesale/Distributor Member.
